Our ethos is to select the best Yorkshire produce, support regional farmers and bring our customers a true field to plate experience. 100% of our suppliers are Yorkshire based and 60% are Sheffield based. We think in seasonal terms which means our menus change daily.

We are proud to let you know that all of our meat, poultry & game comes from local farms including Round Green Venison Farm & Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley, Ewden Farm & Stacey Bank Farm in Bradfield, Whirlow Hall Farm & Pog Lane Farm in Sheffield. All of our meat is hand reared & high welfare. Much of our seasonal fruit & vegetables are handpicked from Whirlow Hall Farm & 2 family run kitchen gardens. We also delight in foraging our lands wonderful wild herbs, fruits & vegetables. Find out more about our local suppliers HERE.
We are based in an historic cutlery works in the City and we present a true Yorkshire dining experience one that is founded on history and embraces fresh innovative sourcing and presentation of food.
Everything that come out of our kitchen has been prepared , preserved, pickled, roasted, baked, mixed and handmade by our chefs. We know exactly the provenance of all of our food and drink and the stories behind it.
About our brand
We wanted to explore and innovate with our brand identity which includes our logo, food photography, printed literature and our website. Working with 93ft and LARK we have taken influence from historic influences of our building's heritage – the silversmiths. You'll see our logo is made up of tiny silver hallmarks.
This branding was taken further with a full restaurant redesign and refit. We chose warm and characterful reclaimed wood throughout that reflects our style and is in sympathy with the age and history of our building. Investment continued in 2012/13 with a total kitchen refit in April, giving us greater capability for creativity, capacity and efficiancy.
This season's printed literature focuses around a Seasonal Lookbook which is a new approach to a traditional brochure which we hope is inspiring and educational. The Lookbook features a selection of our new photography which was shot hot from the Silversmiths kitchens.
